New Update on the Slushy Shoreline Business

Iceberg Dead Ahead!

All of you that have been reading the news lately must've known this new upgrade to the Slushy Shorelines that was released a few days ago. So, let's get down to the biggest problem of all, the upgrade to the S.S Huntington II. The ship needs to be upgraded so it can pierce to the big Iceberg that is viewable via the travel map. So, all hunters need to work together to collect 1,5 million Interlocking Hull Fragments, so we can hunt more mice in the Iceberg. Following this news is a new trap and charm. The Steam Laser Mk. 1 is now able to be purchased in the Trapsmith in the Slushy Shorelines, with a power of 4,200 and 14 luck, forget the Heat Bath! This is your new aim for a Hydro trap, but it doesn't come easy, because you need to hunt down the mice that drops the parts needed to make the trap, the mice are the Saboteur mouse (Heating Oil), the Yeti mouse (Frosty Metal), and the Icebreaker mouse (Wire Spool). After you collect 5 of each material, you can head down and buy the trap for 300,000 gold, cheaper than Heat Bath that needs 1,000,000 gold+. And a new mouse, called the Snow Sniper has also been released.

So, for the new charm, the Softserve charm. The description says that this charm tastes like vanilla, and attracts more of the 3 mice that carries the loot, but more importantly, without the charm you can't even attract the 3 mice. As for the other 2 charms and a whole bunch of Blueprints, they will be unlocked once the upgrade to the ship is finished, I guess. So, that covers all the news, I wish you good luck. Happy Hunting

New Area Released, The Slushy Shoreline!

So, I'm sure that you have read the news about this particular new area, the good thing is that it's located in Gnawnia, the bad news... it's for the ranks of lord/lady. There are a few requirements to this area, the first important one is the Icebreaker License, you can buy this from the Cartographer in the Harbor, only with this are you eligible to hunt in the Slushy Shorelines. The thing with this area is that, you know that in Gnawnia you only need Brie, but because this is a higher rank area, you need Gouda to be really effective hunting here. The new breed of mice has been released a few days ago in several hunting areas, but they are know located in this area only. Even until now, the mice group hasn't been named yet, and the shoppes aren't available yet, but judging by the news, there will be new charms, and a new trap I suppose.

The most effective trap here are Hydro traps, if you have the Double Diamond Adventure, this is a good place to use it besides the Seasonal Garden. The second best is the Heat Bath, followed by Ancient Spear Gun, and Net Cannon/Harpoon Gun. With a good setup and cheese, your journal should not be that white & red all together. One good thing to collect when this area first showed up are the War Supplies, they contain Super Bries |+ and some King's Credits. But remember, if you're a collector, you would want to save a few, because they won't be coming again (I guess). So, that closes all the stuffs that you need to know about this area, happy hunting! Spring Egg Hunt 2012, It's Time!

It's the time again to take off from your busy times hunting elsewhere and move to the Chocolate Factory! This year, Marshmallow Montereys are still needed to catch the troublesome mice in the Chocolate Factory, but the system's different. You don't need to hunt eggs in different locations, this year's story is that all the paint that is needed to paint all 10 Spring Hunt Eggs are stolen, and it's your job to find them. If you have some cheese left from last year, arm them immediately with some Dark Chocolate Charms (available from the Charm Shoppe in the Chocolate Factory), and also your best Arcane trap, because arming the charm will attract more spooky mice and the Sinister Egg Painter mouse that sometimes carries twice the paint loot than the Egg Painter mouse.

After you collected all 50 paint, you can now hunt the Hare Razer mouse, but because the Rocket Rabbit Mallet is an LE item, it won't drop it anymore, instead the new mouse called the Eggscavator Mouse will drop it's Eggscavator when caught. It will allow you to smash all the eggs and the bonus eggs. By the way, this year's bonus egg hunt is easier than before, because the Eggscavator will keep track about all the bonus eggs and you can easily tell the location of the egg just by the names. Unfortunately, there is no new trap this year, but hunters that already have the 10 eggs from last year can collect or smash them again, your choice. You better hurry though with the bonus egg hunt, the Chocolate Factory is only there until 18th March, but the bonus egg hunt can continue a few days later, be sure to buy some more Dark Chocolate Charm because they really help in some hunts. St. Patrick's Day, Celebrate the Green!

Today starts the celebration of St. Patrick's Day in Mousehunt. Be sure to get the Seven Leaf Clover Cap for your collectible from the Green White Mouse. This year's celebration is not that grand, but it does give you +5 luck all weekend... So be sure to use the +5 luck wisely and complete any tasks that requires high luck (Catching the Dragon/Acolyte/Ballack the Banished, etc.). Happy Hunting!

Mousehunt's Fourth Birthday Party!

This year, Mousehunt is turning 4 years old on 7th March 2012. Be sure to join the party and make a cake for Mousehunt! You need 15 Blobs of Cake Batter, 15 Dollops of Icing, 4 Birthday Cake Candles, and 4 Sparks of Candle Flames. But wait, your cake won't be safe for long because there is the Dinosuit Mouse. These mice will eat your cake entirely, but in exchange you will get a Cake Polaroid as a sign that you are eligible to buy the Birthday Party Piñata Bonanza. With a 35% power bonus and 10 luck, this is a really good trap for a high or low level hunter! The bases from the previous Mousehunt birthdays also came back. And, if you finish building the cake, you will also be able to get a new base, the Carrot Birthday Cake Base! There is an Elven Mouse Princess mouse too that drops a Tiara for you who wants to get more collectibles for your inventory.

The trick to get lots of cake material is to arm a high attraction trap and base (Recommended: 2012 Big Boom Trap and Cheesecake Base) and use Brie Cheese. To get more materials, you can arm Party Charms (Gifts or Mouse loots), and to catch the Dinosuit mouse, you can arm a Nanny Charm (from last year's birthday party, or hunt mice in the final steps of building the cake to get some) to get the Dinosuit mouse faster. Valentine Event

So first I'm sorry for the late post... But, I guess you already finished the event. This year's Valentine event only lasted for 3 days (14-16 Feb). A new mouse was launched, the Forever Alone Mouse, it also drops a loot (Single Awareness Day (S.A.D) Pamphlet). A new news is that the Valentine Attraction Charms are even easier to get. Almost anywhere around the map is a Valentine area. I hope you caught all the Valentine mice and got lots of Valentine Attraction Charms, because their 25% plus attraction is nothing to underestimate... Happy Valentine Day and Happy Hunting!

Ronza's 2012 Travelling Shoppe Guide

For this year, Ronza brought some very expensive traps with her... and also only staying for 3 days only! Don't panic or anything, here's your priority list:

- 1st to buy is the Chrome RhinoBot, this is the most useful trap in the shoppe, with 6000 power, 27 luck and 10% power bonus (ignore the cheese efffect), this is the best physical trap (under the Sandstorm Monstrobo). With this trap, you can skip buying the Sandtail Sentinel and skip the Sandstorm Monstrobot, this trap is a lot cheaper than the Sandstorm Monstrobot (Sandblasted Metals cost about 12,000,000 gold a piece).

- 2nd to buy is the Dragon Jade Base, if you haven't completed the Lunar New Year event, complete it fast. The base is the competitor of the previous Magma Base, with a 10 luck, 10% power bonus (Magma only 8%), this is a really great beginner base. If you are a collector, buying the Jade Base will be the last on the list.

- 3rd to buy is the Chrome Tacky Glue Trap (believe it or not), because the high 20 luck and 30% attraction bonus can be very useful in King's Gauntlet for the first tier (thanks for the comment) and also a collectible LE item.

- 4th and under is the Warpath Thrasher, and charms. You might wonder why would the Thrasher is in the 4th place, well that's because the special effect of 9000 power and 30 luck only works in the Fiery Warpath and decreases as you catch mice in the waves (effective only for first 13 hunts, after that use Chrome Rhinobot or Sandtail Sentinel). For the charms, the Mining Charm is a good fit if you're still in the Town of Digby, because it attracts more BBB and Nugget mice (not proven yet). While the Tarnished Charm is useful only for the Chrome Charm later on. I recommend that you polish (arm) the Tarnished Charm when you don't need charms to polish it. Later on, you can use the Chrome Charm without delay for polishing the Tarnished one first.

For the Crate of Ultimate Luck Charm, it's up to you. If you already have one from last year's visit, you don't have to trade it in because the voucher is a collectible, and there are other ways to obtain Ultimate Luck Charms.
