Iceberg Hunting!

The Iceberg
Trap Setup: Steam Laser Mk. I/II/III (Preferred)/Double Diamond Adventure/Heat Bath (Not Preferred), Molten Shrapnel Base/Spellbook Base/Magnet Base (Preffered in some leves)/Remote Detonator Base (Preffered in some leves)/Heartstone Base (Preffered in some levels)
Bait Pref.: Super Brie|+/Gouda
Level: lord
Main Objective: Beat all of the mice in all 4 levels of the Iceberg then defeat the Icewing mouse to beat the Iceberg
The area is a new Fiery Warpath-like area with levels (waves) and commanders. So, first things first, prepare all of the preparations and equipment needed to enter this area, like Wax and Sticky charms, although you can travel elsewhere to get more equipment, just buy it to cut travel fees short. I highly recommend that you have the Steam Laser Mk. 1 before entering this area, because other traps aren't really that good, considering the laser's power bonus from the area. For the bases, here's from the info that I have gathered:

- Magnet Base, I suggest this is the last thing on your shopping list because this only helps with the 1st level of the Iceberg, and you can just handle the push-back by using Sticky charms.
- Remote Detonator Base, I think this is the 1st on your shopping list, because the Bombing Run area of the Iceberg is just really long and hard, so with this base, you can advance 20 feet by catching one of the bombers.
- Heartstone Base, 3rd on your shopping list, because this deals well with Zealot mice in the area, the Mad Depths (the last area before the Icewing's Lair) is where it's effective, because Zealot mice avoid you while using this base.
- Spiked Base, 2nd, because this will neutralize the Brute's knock-back attack, and prove very useful.
- Deep Freeze Base, no info yet, going to come in another update
- Ice Drill Mk.I, so due to the name Mk. I, it upgrades with your laser, and per drill upgrades (you can see here, it goes up by 1 drill chances. Ok, so this drill can only activate 5 times when your in and Iceberg run. This stuffs drills 20 feet under, but if you pass a general, you will miss them and their loot (so don't hastily use this). And, for it to activate needs a Drill Charge, which you can get by trading 5,000 gold, 5 War Scraps (loot from the mice at the Slushy Shorelines), and 5 Bottled Cold Fusion.
- Cold Fusion Bomb (not suggested to be bought), so this is basically a retreat button, and considering that there is this now, I think the Retreat! button has vanished, oh well... Who would want to retreat anyway? (unless you're really aiming for a chest). It is traded with one Cold Fusion, so be very cautious when using this, because it's a hard-to-get kind of loot.

Ok, so now with the Iceberg. First, I have to remind you that on any level, when you're about to advance to another level of the Iceberg, you will face a general, you can read more of the generals here. And also, if you can beat the Iceberg less than 275 hunts, you get all chests, while 350 gets two, and 425 gets none, but you will trigger the Living Salt mouse to come out and thus help your descent faster, because catching this mouse instantly lets you go 20 feet under! Ok then, here's the area and how to face them:

- Treacherous Tunnels, this is the first area of the Iceberg. Nothing special here, only the mice you find in the Slushy Shorelines. You can really speed things up over here by using your Wax charms, because this is the only area where the Wax charm will be most effective. On other areas, the Wax charms are only effective when you catch mice that are in the Treacherous Tunnels, so use the charm and the time well. (If you have the Magnet Base, use it here).

- Brutal Bulwark, this is where Sticky charms perform the best. If the 1st area is the best for Wax charms and speeding up, this area is where you need the Sticky charms and hold your ground, because Brute mice will still push you back even though you caught them, and even with the Sticky charm armed, you will still get pushed back about 4 feet or so. The key to this area is patience against watching your journal. Good luck!

- Bombing Run, not much to tell here, arming Wax or Sticky charms is your choice (Sticky is preferred as Wax only gives 1 foot, but Sticky can hold of 4 feet). If you want to use the mice from the Treacherous Tunnels that are caught here to advance, you are welcome to, but if you still have the Steam Laser Mk. I, I wouldn't do that because the Failed-To-Catch with those Bomber mice will really be a problem. But, it's your choice though, I suggest changing the charms often, depends on the tide of battle. (If you have the Remote Detonator Base, use it here).

- The Mad Depths, the 2nd final and hardest area is here! This is where Zealot mice lurks around, and let me tell you, these are really hard mice to catch unless you have the Steam Laser Mk. III because these are not just usual ordinary mice. Unless you have that, go with Sticky charms to prevent being knocked back too much. All I can say is just hold-on to the tide and patiently wait to reeach Icewing's Lair.

- Icewing's Lair, this is it, the final battle with Icewing, but... what? Icewing has left and let her second-in-command to take in-charge, you must be really disappointed with this, but relax, this is what people who haven't crafted the Steam Laser Mk. II or hunted more than 425 times in the Iceberg will face. Still, if it's your first time reaching the lair, catch the Frostlance Commander and get the plans for the Steam Laser Mk. II. Then, congratulations, you have beaten your first Iceberg! Hooray!

- The Deep, (only recommended for those who alredy have the Steam Laser Mk. III) this is the final (and really, final) sub-area to the Iceberg. This is also where the Deep Mouse lives. To get to this area, there are a few (and kind of hard) requirements: You must defeat the Icewing under 250 hunts, and also use the Deep Freeze Base to catch her (The Deep Freeze Base Blueprints is dropped by the Icewing), and third, you must catch the Deep Mouse before you reach 250 hunts. Don't worry, because after you defeat the Icewing under 250 hunts, the Deep mouse will immediately, and SB|+ is also recommended to attract the Deep mouse faster. (Thanks for the comment, of I would have forgotten about this section).

Ok, now what to do after. So, after getting the plans, go make you Steam Laser Mk. II and head back to the Iceberg. Finish it quick though, because Icewing leaves if you hunted more than 425 hunts in the Iceberg. Then, after catching the Icewing mouse, your Steam Laser Mk. II will break (WHAT?!), I'll repeat it again, it will break! Still, it looks cool and there's no harm to take a picture of it. But, in return you get Steam Nine, so just smash the broken Steam Laser Mk. II, combine it with Steam Nine and there you have it, the really powerful Steam Laser Mk. III! And that concludes your whole journey in the Iceberg, still you can go in the Iceberg again for fun to get all 3 chests and to get what's inside. Overall, my suggestion is to always use Sticky Charms as it gives you a big advantage (prevents you from moving 4 feet) than the Wax Charms (only gives you extra 1 foot). Happy Hunting!
